Sachal Vasandani “Hi-Fly” Review in MUSICA JAZZ

He looks like a good guy, honest and a little ‘light-hearted, just enough to be an ideal candidate for the legendary Rat Pack. And his voice does not lie, does not disappoint: elegant, perfect tune, the sound envelops and master a repertoire stylistically perfect, but apparently piacione executed with true originality. Hi-Fly, the third work of the American crooner, sails between classical and original themes, and even dips in the pop soul bag of Amy Winehouse with ‘Love Is A Losing Game’, which leaves intact the beautiful harmonic lines while coating them with swing.

A voice that creates emotions, supported by a combo of high-class, who has the luxury of (singing) with the father of vocalese Jon Hendricks, music to jump off the chair but is also able to move heartfelt notes in the self-penned ‘Flood ‘, where he masterfully recounts the drama of the Asian peoples afflicted by disasters. Bright work, virtually perfect.”
